Since 2015, each fall I have drawn a holiday “story calendar” for my friends and family. Taking inspiration from advent calendars, but not explicitly tied to Christian tradition, each calendar tells a story in pictures, drawing on important themes in my life from the past year.
While the new calendar is always reserved for friends and family, I sell copies of the past years’ calendars. The calendars consist of a small narrative, told solely through pictures. Readers discover the story slowly, one day at a time.
